SSC CGL Eligibility – How can Apply?
Qualification: – The qualification criteria can differ for various posts. But basic qualification required Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subjects from any university which is recognised by UGC. Final year graduation students can also apply for exam make sure they complete their graduation before 1st August.
Note: – Aspirant must have Indian Citizenship.
Age Limit: – In this section, aspirant age limit varies according to posts as well as the cast categories by Indian government rule (describe in details under below chart). The standard age limit in among various posts is 18 years to 27 years old whereas age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per SSC rules. There are few specific posts which allow to the candidate for maximum 32 years age limit.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017-18
Staff Selection Commission conducts exam once a year. An eligible aspirant can apply for an exam through the online application form on SSC official website. It is very important for you to have complete knowledge of exam pattern before an attempt. CGL exam basically consists four papers Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier3, based on 10th & 12th standard. Whereas each paper having the different type of syllabus, pattern and timing. Beginning two paper(Tier1 & Tier2) out of four in an online mode, other papers are known as Descriptive Test & Computer Proficiency Test.

SSC CGL Preliminary Examination or Tier 1: –
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam conduct in the month of June or August every year. It contains four section of 100 questions objective type. Where each question will carry 2 marks with a penalty of 0.5 marks for the wrong answer. You will get only 60 minutes to attempt 1oo questions marks of 200.

SSC CGL Main Examination or Tier2
This exam required deep preparation. It comes up in details syllabus or wide topics. The candidates who successfully cross tier 1 cut off they are eligible for appearing in tier 2. There are four papers each having different questions & marks criteria with a penalty for the wrong answer. Basically, it’s depended on the post for which you have applied.

Tier 3 or Descriptive Test: –
For the first time, SSC has come up with a new pattern for this exam. The government replaced Interview/personality test by Written Descriptive Exam. You have to make an intelligent summary of a long passage. It must have a clear understanding of the passage. That’s aim to test your proficiency in writing an exam. The eligibility of the candidates to appear in tier 3 will be based on Tier 2 cut off.
